Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the iOS application “Leben in Deutschland” (“Leben in Deutschland” or the “App”), provided by Dmytro Hriza. By downloading, purchasing, or using Leben in Deutschland, you agree to these Terms and Apple’s applicable App Store terms.

2. Purpose of the App

Leben in Deutschland is a learning tool designed to support personal preparation for the German citizenship test and the “Leben in Deutschland” test. It provides study questions, translations, mock exams, search, mistake review, and progress features.

Leben in Deutschland is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), the German government, or any examination authority. The App does not replace official guidance, eligibility advice, appointment information, or the actual examination.

3. Accuracy and translations

We make reasonable efforts to keep the App clear and current. However, laws, official questions, examination procedures, and source materials may change. We do not promise that all content is complete, continuously current, or free from errors.

Translations are provided to assist understanding. They may contain inaccuracies and do not replace the original German wording. When there is a difference, rely on the official German question and the information published by the responsible authority.

4. No guarantee of examination results

Your results in Leben in Deutschland are for practice only. Performance in the App does not guarantee admission to, eligibility for, or success in any official test or citizenship procedure.

5. Licence and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms and Apple’s usage rules, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use Leben in Deutschland on compatible Apple devices associated with your App Store account.

You must not:

• copy, resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its design;
• attempt to bypass purchase restrictions or interfere with StoreKit transactions;
• reverse engineer the App except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• use the App in a way that violates law or the rights of another person.

6. Purchases

Leben in Deutschland offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks Quiz Race. Purchases, restorations, billing, and refunds are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and applicable consumer law. We do not control App Store payment processing or refund decisions.

You can use the “Restore Purchase” option in the App when signed in with the Apple Account that completed the purchase.

7. Availability and changes

We may correct errors, update content, improve features, or change compatibility requirements. We may also discontinue the App where reasonably necessary. Some functions depend on compatible versions of iOS, Apple services, installed translation resources, and App Store availability.

8. Intellectual property

The App’s software, original interface, branding, artwork, organisation, and original explanatory material are owned by Dmytro Hriza or used under permission. Government publications and other third-party material remain subject to the rights and terms applicable to their respective sources.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Leben in Deutschland is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. We are not liable for an examination result, administrative decision, missed deadline, or reliance on unofficial or translated information.

Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using Leben in Deutschland at any time by deleting the App. Your right to use the App ends if you materially violate these Terms, subject to any rights granted by applicable consumer law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Leben in Deutschland, the law, or App Store requirements. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
